Back from the burg!

Just got back, worked out great as I caught the final moments of the super bowl listening to Westwood One as I pulled into my driveway, man that play-by-play guy can talk, not so much Kurt Warner the color guy. I enjoy that old school driving through the night listening to the game on the radio.

Pretty good weekend, Men’s game against Syracuse was a blast, Sure it’s been beat to death on the other boards, but a good 40 minutes of basketball from both teams. Will that be the last time we see Boeheim? You know you're going to miss him, even if it's because you love to hate him. Thought early on that Mutts was up and that proved to be true, great game.

Likewise, caught the women’s game against UNCheat earlier today. UNC has some big girls, maybe that was their strategy to beat the crap out of the other team, at least three called charges and a few more offensive fouls. Pretty good crowd, after the game Kitley tried to run the perimeter of the court for high fives which doesn’t really work too well except for the Cassell guard section, but good to see she was really happy after the win. Love Amoore too, don’t mind a few of her wild ass passes as long as she keeps that energy up. (and hitting threes)

Tried to pull out a win for the women’s tennis team too. Was going out to hike yesterday on the AT, wasn’t really that into it, still hurting some, ran into a guy at the hotel headed to the tennis match and used that as an excuse to change plans. (I play a lot of tennis) ended staying and watching and shooting the tennis shirt with him and some high school coach from Lancaster PA, Took me a while to realize "Charlotte" was the other team and not some chick everyone rooted for, they kicked the poop out of VT with the exception of the #1 where the VT player was throwing up defensive lobs. The other girl kept hitting the ball really hard even when a drop shot might have won the point, Maybe just looking at the whole thing as practice, dunno.

Did run into a guy and talked about hiking the AT and asked if he knew where the Keffer Oak was. Local, never heard of it so looked it up on his cell phone: “Oh wow, cool thanks! I’ll put that on the list, thanks a lot!!!” OK, did my good deed for the day, but kept thinking about that and ended up doing that short hike this morning. Cold, but enjoyed the solitude. I use Strava to see how far I hiked ~4 miles, but up popped some segment leaderboards and I'm #1 all time for age, weight and this year (like who else is out in February doing that hike? 'Lag, that's who!!!) yeah, feeling goood.

Palisades restaurant is a pretty fantastic place if you don’t mind the sketchy road to Eggleston. Yikes. Little easier coming back on the uphill side.
